Nanseera is an Atlanta/Kampala-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and a distinctive style.  The mixed-race, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia, moving to the United States for high school and college, during which she spent a semester in France. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman, Lianne LaHavas, and Sheryl Crow, she weaves together poetic stories of losing home, love, and sense of self, then somehow finding them again. Nanseera has performed for audiences on three continents and recently completed her first tour "The Colours Tour" and is preparing to release new music this year.

Nanseera released her debut album American Odyssey in 2022. The project loosely follows her road trip with friends and a journey of personal discovery.

She  graduated from the Frost School of Music where she studied Musicianship, Artist Development, and Entrepreneurship and minored in Songwriting. When she's not writing and playing shows, Nanseera can be found drinking tea, chatting with friends, and traveling as much as possible.
